Stoneybridge Structures and Model Sounds are both trading names of Gavin Thirkell, who is regestered with HMRC as a sole trader
The terms and conditions presented below are equally applicable to website purchased items, directly purchased items from our sales stand or workshop and/or telephone order products. The terms and conditions contained herein overwrite any terms and conditions published elsewhere
The terms and conditions below outline the products and services we make available to you. By checking the " I accept published terms and conditions including return/ refund policy" box located within our checkout pages you are consenting to be bound by the terms and conditions on this website.
For purchases made from exhibitions etc, these terms and conditions will be/are applied and valid.
All terms and conditions are subject to change and are imposed at the discretion of Stoneybridge Structures / Model Sounds.
Models and Materials
We reserve the right to alter the colour of our plastics. As the models are to be painted this should not cause issues.
POSTAGE and DELIVERY
All our products are usually in stock but please allow up to fourteen working days for delivery, however we do usually dispatch our catalogue range much more quickly.
We use Royal Mail Second Class as standard for our delivery service. A proof of postage is retained for each parcel sent.
Cost of delivery will be advised at checkout.
For multiple item purchases made at the same time, only the postage cost of the largest item will be charged for. Our policy is to group together multiple items into one parcel, therefore, we will hold back the dispatch of your order until we can fully supply your order. We will notify you of any excessive delays.
Postage costs are for the UK mainland only excluding Highlands and Islands.
For added security, we can post UK 'signed for' from the Royal Mail. Please add ONE from the POSTAGE product under additional postage tab.
We can also post worldwide. Please select your destination zone and add ONE from the POSTAGE product under additional postage tab. Your order will not be dispatched until this is paid for. We will notify you if this is required and ask you to place a new order with this product. Worldwide orders will be dispatched 'signed for'.
Our delivery services does not include insurance.
We cease to be responsible for loss of or damage to packages once they have been handed to the Post Office or Courier and a proof of postage has been obtained.
We use OPAYO/ FIDELITY PAYMENTS for secure on-line payments via our website and terminal. We will not retain or store credit card or debit card details at our workshops. All details that are stored will be secured on OPAYO/ FIDELITY PAYMENTS servers.
For bespoke orders, alternative postage arrangements, credit or debit card orders which need to be processed over the telephone or in person will be securely handled on our card reader and via our payment partner Allied Irish Bank.
VAT at the current rate is included in all quoted costs for orders within the UK.

PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
Our catalogue range of kits are those shown current on our website.
Any bespoke items are not subject to the usual turnaround timescales.
For bespoke items, scope of works, timescales, design and costs etc are to be agreed at the time by verbal or written discussion. A quotation will be given via email or verbally before any work has been done and items produced.
PRODUCT & RETURNS POLICY
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you must notify us in writing of your intent to return any unwanted items within 14 working days of receipt of your order.
As our products are made to order, we can only accept return of unwanted items from our catalogue (products as currently displayed on our website) and only in an unused, unopened and resalable condition unless faulted. BESPOKE PRODUCTS CAN NOT BE RETURNED AS UNWANTED.
You must take reasonable care of the products that you wish to return. All instructions, labels and the original packaging unopened to be returned to us.
POSTAGE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED FOR ANY GOODS RETURNED TO US AS 'UNWANTED'.
IN THE EVENT OF THE ITEM BEING DAMAGED IN ANY WAY, IT WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU AT YOUR COST AND ANY MONIES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
Stoneybridge Structures INCORPORATING Model Sounds will refund the original purchase price of any returned items within 30 days. We will refund to your original payment method only once goods have been received back in unused and unopened condition.
Under the Consumer Rights act 2015, You have a right to reject goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described.
You must notify us of any faulted goods in writing within 30 days of receipt of your order.
If any parts are missing from the kits or broken we will send these parts out at no additional cost to you.
If you wish to return the goods, you must take reasonable care of the products that you wish to return. All instructions, labels and the original packaging to be returned to us. Stoneybridge Structures INCORPORATING Model Sounds will refund the original purchase price and delivery costs of any items notified within 30 days unless a replacement is sought.
We will refund to your original payment method only once goods have been received back to Stoneybridge Structures.
If a replacement is sought, we will send this out after the original part is received back to us and is confirmed as faulted.
After 30 days, we reserve the right to repair or replace the item at our discretion. If we repair and the issue is not solved, a full refund will be offered.
HEALTH and SAFETY
Our products are laser cut wood and plastic kits and as such are not toys. They are not suitable for children.
We have tried to design our products to be as easy to assemble as possible. However, our products will require the use of sharp cutting implements such as knives and saws etc, sanding equipment, glues and paints to complete.
Always wear suitable personal protection equipment (PPE) and avoid breathing in dust particles and fumes from any material, glues or paints whilst sanding, cutting, gluing or painting any of our products.
Always follow any health and safety advice given on product labels
Every care and precaution should be taken when assembling our products.
We will take no responsibility or liability for any injury or costs incurred howsoever caused whilst using our products.
PRIVACY and GDPR - WHAT WE DO
MARKETING - We do not produce a marketing email, therefore, we do not retain any personal information to be used for this purpose.
We do not pass any of your information on to any third party for marketing.
We will only use your details howsoever given to us to contact you regarding your quotation or order if there is a need.
WEBSITE SALES - Our third party partners OPAYO will retain personal details including your name, address, credit/ debit card information and order details for purposes to provide you with a service that you have requested.
A short version is printed out to enable us to complete your order and produce your invoice. A printed copy of the short version and invoice is retained in paper form for our records. Electronic copies are stored in the mail server at WEBWIZ with invoices stored in our CLOUD DRIVE, both being password protected.
CREDIT CARD/ DEBIT CARD SALES - We will retain the 'Merchant Copy' of the sales receipt. This will be attached to the job sheet/ sales sheet which we compile and store in paper form for job shets and including email copies for sales sheet.Our payment partners ELAVON will also retain a copy of your information.
RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN - Under the latest GDPR rules, customer information can and will, at the specific request (in writing) of the customer, be deleted from our systems.
RIGHT TO VIEW - Under the latest GDPR rules, customer information that we store can be viewed by that customer. Please contact us if you wish to exercise this right.
Job sheets - are used to keep record of any quotation or work requested. Personal information may include name, telephone number, email address and postal address as well as details of work requested. These sheets are retained in paper format only.
Sales Sheets - are the email confirmation from SAGEPAY of an order you have paid for via their system. We retain this in paper form with a copy saved electronically on our sysem.
Show Sales - are a log of sales at shows/exhibitions and monthly sales. No personal information is stored on these sheets.
